British Film Institute Anniversary Print

Over the past few weeks we have been producing an anniversary print for the British Film Institute.  Created to celebrate the career of employee Brian Robinson the print is a reproduction of a pattern from a theatre screen once housed and used for over 40 years in the National Film Theatre (now BFI Southbank) but has long since been removed.  The print team only had an couple of photographs of the screen in situ and the pattern on an old publication so work to recreate the pattern as a silk screen was fairly intense.  We are all delighted with the finished edition.

Rowan Newton In The Studio

Last week we welcomed Rowan Newton in to the studio for the second time to start work on his new screen print.  Last year we editioned Rowan's sell out edition Caught In A Fury Of Change.  During his time at Jealous, Rowan completed the separations on to tru-grain ready to expose on to the screens.  We look forward to sharing images of the printing process when we come to proof.

Print Edition for Tim Etchells

Over the last couple of weeks we have been printing a lovely series of text based works for artist Tim Etchells.  We enjoyed welcoming Rhys Evans from Cafeteria who advised and offered their technical expertise to Tim on the project in the studio to assist with proofing the edition with our very own Jess Wilson.

New Print Work by Liam McCrory

With the Tour De France in full flow we thought we would get in the spirit and share this wonderful work by Liam McCrory.  Created for Alpcycles in France, we have just editioned the work on Somerset Satin Enhanced 330 gsm radiant white paper.

Welcoming Magnus Gjoen

Over the last couple of months we have welcomed artist Magnus Gjoen in to the studio.  We editioned a number of the works for his very successful exhibition at Art Republic that recently closed.  The last print we completed for Magnus was the digital inkjet archival print on Hahnemuhle Photo Rag 308 gsm paper entitled Tug of War (pictured above).  You can see more of Magnus' work here.
